Privacy Policy

Tidynest keeps authoritative household data on your device and, when iCloud sync or sharing is enabled, in Apple CloudKit. A limited notification service is operated separately to deliver alerts reliably while the app is closed.

Information used by the app

Names or nicknames, member roles, bird avatars, chores, notes, schedules, completion history, optional reward amounts, payout records and household settings are entered by you and used to provide the app’s features.

Where information is stored

Household records are stored locally and in your private or shared iCloud database. Invited participants can access records shared with their nest according to Apple’s iCloud sharing model. The developer cannot browse your CloudKit records.

Notification service

For targeted alerts, the service stores a random installation identifier, opaque nest and member identifiers, member role, APNs device token, locale, time zone, notification preferences and delivery status. It also stores notification title and body text for Activity, which may include a note or checklist excerpt when detailed notifications are enabled. This information is used only for app functionality, security and delivery reliability, not advertising or tracking.

Device integrity

Tidynest may use Apple App Attest to confirm that requests come from a genuine copy of the app. The notification service may store an opaque App Attest key identifier, challenge state and verification status. It does not receive your Apple ID, device passcode or biometric data.

Notifications and widgets

You can hide detailed Lock Screen content, configure alert types, quiet hours and digests, or disable notifications in iOS Settings. Widget snapshots are stored in an App Group container on the device.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple StoreKit. Tidynest receives purchase status needed to unlock features; payment details are handled by Apple and are not received by the developer.

Analytics, advertising and tracking

Tidynest does not include third-party advertising or tracking SDKs and does not sell personal information. Apple may provide aggregated App Store or TestFlight diagnostics under your Apple privacy settings.

Children

Tidynest is a household utility used under adult supervision. Children do not create a public Tidynest account. Adults control invitations, household membership and parental settings.

Deletion and retention

Notification Activity is retained for up to 30 days, delivery attempts for up to 14 days, deduplication events and completed schedules for up to 7 days, and claim locks for up to 10 minutes. Expired integrity challenges are removed automatically. You can delete chores, members and local app data from within the app or device. Removing a notification route deletes that installation’s routing record. The iCloud owner controls the shared nest and participants. Apple and Cloudflare may process information according to their own infrastructure and security policies.
